The formula
How to convert GBP to MXN
To convert British Pounds to Mexican Pesos, multiply the amount by the current exchange rate. On 11 August 2026 that rate is 23.132, so:
MXN = GBP × 23.132
To go from MXN back to GBP, divide by the same rate. Put another way, 0.04323 British Pounds to the Mexican Peso.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
Note: the rate feed has not refreshed recently, so the figure above may lag the market.
About the British Pound and the Mexican Peso
The British Pound (GBP, symbol £) is the currency of the United Kingdom. The Mexican Peso (MXN, symbol Mex$) is the currency of Mexico.
Neither currency is pegged to the other, so the figure drifts from one session to the next. What you see is the market midpoint, updated once a day. A bank or bureau will quote something a little worse.
Worked GBP to MXN examples
A price tag. Something marked £50 comes to 1156.6 MXN. Round to 1,157 MXN for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. £3,000 a month is 69396.09 MXN — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding Mex$1,000 and want to know what it buys in British Pounds, that is 43.2301 GBP. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your £500 would fetch roughly 11219.03 MXN instead of 11566.02 MXN. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.
The GBP/MXN rate stands at 23.132 on 11 August 2026. It is refreshed every morning, so this page never quotes a figure older than a day.
That works out at 2313.2031 MXN for 100 GBP. Type a different figure into the converter to see it change as you go.
No — treat it as the reference point, not the offer. Exchange desks quote a spread around the mid-market rate and keep the difference. Comparing their quote with the figure above tells you what the convenience is costing you.
