The formula
How to convert EUR to NZD
Converting EUR into NZD takes a single multiplication once you know the day's rate. On 11 August 2026 that rate is 1.9633, so:
NZD = EUR × 1.9633
The inverse holds too: 0.509342 Euros per New Zealand Dollar. Divide where you multiplied before.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
Note: the rate feed has not refreshed recently, so the figure above may lag the market.
About the Euro and the New Zealand Dollar
The Euro (EUR, symbol €) is the currency of the eurozone. The New Zealand Dollar (NZD, symbol NZ$) is the currency of New Zealand.
The two are quoted against each other constantly, so the rate moves throughout the trading day. The feed publishes mid-market figures, which is what financial reporting cites. Actual exchange costs a margin on top.
Worked EUR to NZD examples
A price tag. Something marked €50 comes to 98.1659 NZD. Round to 98 NZD for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. €3,000 a month is 5889.95 NZD — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding NZ$1,000 and want to know what it buys in Euros, that is 509.34 EUR. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your €500 would fetch roughly 952.21 NZD instead of 981.66 NZD. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.

At today's rate, 100 Euros come to 196.3318 NZD. The converter handles any amount, in either direction.
No — treat it as the reference point, not the offer. Exchange desks quote a spread around the mid-market rate and keep the difference. Comparing their quote with the figure above tells you what the convenience is costing you.
