The formula
How to convert EUR to HKD
A EUR to HKD conversion is arithmetic, not guesswork — multiply and you are done. On 11 August 2026 that rate is 9.0543, so:
HKD = EUR × 9.0543
Backwards works identically — divide by 9.0543, or multiply by 0.110445. One Hong Kong Dollar comes to 0.110445 Euros.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
Note: the rate feed has not refreshed recently, so the figure above may lag the market.
About the Euro and the Hong Kong Dollar
The Euro (EUR, symbol €) is the currency of the eurozone. The Hong Kong Dollar (HKD, symbol HK$) is the currency of Hong Kong.
Rates between these two shift with interest-rate decisions, trade figures and general market mood. The feed publishes mid-market figures, which is what financial reporting cites. Actual exchange costs a margin on top.
Worked EUR to HKD examples
A price tag. Something marked €50 comes to 452.71 HKD. Round to 453 HKD for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. €3,000 a month is 27162.78 HKD — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding HK$1,000 and want to know what it buys in Euros, that is 110.45 EUR. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your €500 would fetch roughly 4391.32 HKD instead of 4527.13 HKD. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.
The EUR/HKD rate stands at 9.0543 on 11 August 2026. It is refreshed every morning, so this page never quotes a figure older than a day.

Almost certainly not. What you see here is the mid-market rate, the midpoint of the market. Every retail provider takes a cut on top of it. The value of knowing the mid-market figure is being able to measure that cut.
